Parenting is hard. We know that. But we ain’t alone and there’s many wonderful humans out there who have the good wisdom to share from their hard earned experience. Here’s some of my favorite Mom Blogs to follow when I need new ideas and just don’t want to feel so alone.

I hope by the end of this article these will also be some of your favorite mom blogs. I think you’ll discover a treasure trove of helpful resources, like Jordan’s budgeting system, or a taste of Kiwi Mum humour. Keep reading to find out why I find each of these incredible women who blog, so inspiring…

momlife happylife favorite blog heading

Suzi started her blog Mom Life Happy Life as a creative outlet when she left her corporate job to have kiddos and it’s grown into an incredible resource and community.

She has a sunny and sweet personality that shines through with her Can Do Attitude. Her blog has expanded to include tons of other writers, also mothers, with all their perspectives, tips and tricks. There is such a wealth of knowledge on this site, from pre-pregnancy to teenagers and everything in between.

It’s also is where my blogging journey started. I’d been researching and looking around for a comprehensive blogging course for quite a while. It wasn’t until I found her signature course Blog By Number, that I really started to make progress.

Mommy on Purpose favorite blog heading

Carly is also a Stay At Home Mom who earns income through her blog. She has a no-nonsense, straight up tone. And I love her sense of humour.

She began Mommy on Purpose because she struggled through new mum anxiety, and wanted to create a space where other struggling mothers wouldn’t feel so alone. There’s dozens of helpful articles and tips, from sleep issues to potty training.

Carly makes it onto my list of favorite mom blogs because of her intentional focus on being a mother – hence the name “Mommy on Purpose”. Her children are her central focus and being home to support their growth and wellness is something I strongly relate to.

Jordan Page from Fun Cheap or Free blog

Jordan Page is unreal. Her blog is Fun Cheap or Free, plus she’s a YouTuber extraordinaire.

Oh, and she has 8 babes. And the latest 2 are twins. No biggie.

She’s been creating content for a while, so I try not to get overwhelmed by her awesomeness. But she has a system for EVERYTHING – and her 9 kids test it out, so you know it’s good for every age level.

Her approach to parenting is refreshing, loving and efficient. Because it has to be. She’s raising her kids to have a huge sense of agency and responsibility which I really love.

Happy Hooligans blog banner

I get the best hit rate with my daughters using craft ideas from Jackie’s Happy Hooligans page. Jackie has an in-home daycare and is an abundant source of craft, art and play ideas. Plus, her page is full of color.

Warning: You can spend a long time on her site because there’s just so many inspiring ideas, recipes and sound advice.

Maria is a New Zealand blogger and mum who has been creating her corner of the internet at Happy Mum Hppy Child since 2016. If you want to understand more about a Kiwi parenting mindset, start here.

Maria has loads of tips & tricks, activities, and recipes all with a good dose of dead-pan kiwi humour.

Maybe it’s because she’s a New Zealander that I relate to her, but I think really it’s her honesty about Post Natal Depression, or how supportive she is about feeling Mum Guilt or needing a break from your little humans.

The Thud blog banner

The Thud is created by Lauren, an Aussie, who used to be a political journalist then traded it all in for the less glamorous life of being a mum.

I love her writing. Her honesty and salt-of-the earth perspective.

Sometimes tips and tricks or looking at how other mother’s have solved a problem is great. Sometimes it just amplifies for me how much I feel like I’m failing.

That’s when I need to read from someone else who has been there, and doesn’t shy away from digging into the dark and ridiculous thoughts of motherhood.

Warning: Lauren is not afraid of using strong language on her blog.
